Little Red expands the world of the familiar fairy tale into a role playing game. In this version, humans and animals have lived side-by-side, until new breakthroughs in human technology have led to the exploitation and destruction of animal lands. With inter-species tensions high, some humans continue to live on the frontier, living modest lives in forest cottages, considerate of the other communities that make up part of nature. Those who have chosen to separate belong to a cult of progress, believing their tools have given them a divine right to control nature itself.
Red must navigate the politics between the various animal communities while working to protect them against humans who mean harm. A battle between a world defined by the embrace of magic and nature and a new world born from technology and human ambition ensues — can these worlds co-exist? Or must one be destroyed?
Joining Red are friends, family, and like-minded humans (Your Mother, Grandma, The Woodsman), but much of the game will be based around your relationship to the Wolf Cub you meet through the quest above. As you build your relationship with your cub through adventure, combat, and playtime, you will learn new abilities. This was inspired in part by my own relationship with my labrador, who I brought home during my Game Writing Certification course with the Narrative Department.
